SAFE REMOVAL OF THE USB

DISK FROM WINDOWS

Windows 98

1.Click the green “Unplug or Eject Hardware” icon in the system tray and select the device that you want to remove.

2.When the system prompts “You may safely remove this device”, unplug the USB cable from the USB port of your computer.

Windows Me/2000/XP

1.Double-click on the “Unplug or Eject Hardware” icon in the system tray.

2.Select the “USB Mass Storage Device” then click “Stop”.

3.Choose the USB 2.0 External Drive that you want to disconnect, then click on “Stop” again.

4.When the system prompts “You may safely remove this device”, unplug the USB cable from the USB port of your computer.
