Chapter 1. Introduction
	This chapter describes the characteristics of the IBM 4810 SurePOS 300, which
	includes the machine type 4910.
Product summary
	The 4810 consists of a personal computer (PC) core with expansion slots,
	Electronic Industries Association (EIA) 232 connectors, an Ethernet LAN adapter,
	and built-in video (VGA) support. In addition to these features, the 4910 SurePOS
	Express Model includes bundled I/O that may vary according to country and
	geographic region. Designed specifically for distributed environments, the 4810 can
	be mounted vertically or horizontally under a check stand or counter.

	Table 1-1describes the features of the 4810/4910 SurePOS 300.

	memory	hard disk drive). This socket is internal to the unit and is not for devices that
		are removed or inserted as part of their function.
	Hard disk	Optional 3.5-inch IDE (mutually exclusive with the flash memory).
	drive (HDD)
	Audio	AC97-compatible audio with microphone in, line in and line out.
