About this guide

 

This guide provides product planning information, replacement and removal

 

procedures, problem determination and parts listings of field-replaceable-units

(FRUs) for the IBM 4810/4910 SurePOS300. The 4910-32x model is an Express

 

solution, which includes a 4810-32H machine, a printer, display, cash drawer, and

 

possibly other I/O. The components of the 4910 Express Solution are determined

 

by each country or geographical region.

Throughout this guide, the term 4810 refers to all models of the IBM 4810/4910

 

SurePOS 300. The chapters are organized as follows:

v Chapter 1, “Introduction,” on page 1-1provides a summary of all the models of

 

the IBM 4810/4910 SurePOS 300.

v Chapter 2, “Disassembling the 4810/4910 SurePOS 300,” on page 2-1describes

 

the procedure for removing parts from the 4810/4910.

 

v Chapter 3, “Problem determination,” on page 3-1describes the procedures for

 

resolving problems.

 

v Chapter 4, “Parts catalog,” on page 4-1provides the most recent parts

information for the product.

 

 

 

Who should read this manual

 

This manual is intended for use by experienced personnel responsible for installing

 

and maintaining all models of the IBM 4810 SurePOS 300.
