Performance Forwarding and Filtering:

-at 10 Mbps, 14,880 packets-per-second (64 byte packets)

-at 100 Mbps, 148,800 packets-per-second (64 byte packets)

Traffic Management:

-Flow control per port: IEEE 802.3x frame-based for full duplex; back-pressure for half duplex

-Broadcast throttling for broadcast storm control

LED Indicators:

-10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet ports: Link, Speed, Collision

-System: Power

Figure 1-1 shows the front panel of the Cabletron ELS100-8TXUF2. Table 1-1 defines the ELS100-8TXUF2 front panel components.

Fiber ports using SC fiber connectors.

Indicates Link, Speed and Collision information (see

 

Table 1-2 for details).

Power LED

Lights steady green to indicate power is supplied to the

 

switch. Off indicates no power is supplied to the switch.

*When using Port 8, use the toggle switch on the front panel to select the RJ-45 con- nector or fiber connector.
