Note: If the power light is yellow or amber, one of the following may be the cause:

mThe computer isn’t turned on.

mThe monitor’s cable isn’t connected properly to the computer.

mThe video circuitry or video card in your computer is not compatible with the monitor. Your Macintosh may need a video card or adapter to use the monitor. See “Do You Need a Video Card?” earlier in this chapter.

mThe computer and monitor are in sleep to conserve energy. See “Conserving Energy” in Chapter 2.

To make full use of the features available to you with this monitor, you should install the display software. Follow the instructions in “Installing the Display Software,” next.

Installing the display software

To install the display software for the Multiple Scan 15AV Display, follow these steps:

1Insert the Apple Multiple Scan Software for Macintosh disk into a floppy disk drive.

The disk’s icon appears on the desktop.

2Double-click the disk icon to open it.

3Double-click the Installer icon to start the Installer program.

After a moment, the Installer opens and you see the Welcome screen.
