Playing music from compatible GoGear/iPod devices

(Optional feature - not available in Europe)

Music on your Philips GoGear/Apple iPod can be played on this unit with the support of Philips HTD7001 docking station (optional feature - available in selected countries). It enables you to enjoy superior sound output from the speaker system.

Before you start ...

Prepare the Philips HTD7001 docking station by attaching the matching dock adaptor to the correct docking cradle. Refer to the Docking Station’s user manual for more information.

A Connect the docking station to the DOCK socket on this unit (as shown in the above illustration).

B Turn on your GoGear or iPod before dock it into the correct cradle.

C Press DOCK on the remote control to switch this unit to DOCK mode.

The display panel shows ‘GOGEAR DOCKED’ or ‘IPOD DOCKED’ if the device is detected and supported.

D Start playback on your GoGear/iPod.

Controlling of playback is on the GoGear/iPod device by default, it is called ‘Simple Control mode’. However, you can use the remote control of this unit to control simple playback functions such as

PLAY, PAUSE, OK, STOP, NEXT/FFW and PREV/REW.

For iPod music playback only, press DISPLAY on the remote control to toggle between ‘Simple Control mode’ and ‘Extended Control mode’.

‘Extended Control Mode’

available for iPod music playback only While in this mode, the control keys on the iPod have no function. You can view the music contents on the TV and use the remote control of this unit to control and navigate the music playlists/content.

Helpful Hints:

The Philips HTD7001 docking station is specially designed for use with this unit. Never try it on other device.

Photo and video playback from iPod compatible device is possible if you connect the video output from the docking station to your TV. Controlling of playback is only possible on the iPod.

Whenever this unit is powered up and the docking station is connected to it, the battery of the docked GoGear or iPod will be charged automatically.
