Setting the Display Contrast

Changing the display contrast makes it easier to read the display.

1.From the Main Display, press the Right Arrow Key twice.

2.The Contrast Menu appears. Press the Left or Right Arrow Keys to set the contrast to the desired level.

3.Press the Menu Key to leave the Contrast Menu and save the change.

Unlocking a Rack Locked by a NMS

To unlock a rack locked by a NMS, press the Right and Left Arrow Keys at the same time.

Resetting the Rack to its Default Settings

Press all four Control Panel keys at the same time to completely reset the rack controller.

Upgrading firmware

This function will delete the old firmware before upgrading to the new firmware. To upgrade your firmware follow the procedure below:

1.Turn on your computer and start any communication program that supports the XMODEM protocol.

2.Use a serial cable to connect the COM port of your computer to the DTE RS-232 port.

Use the following parameters: 9600 bps

8 data bits no parity
