Remote controller The settings are stored.

Notes:

This setting affects only the analog multichannel out- put. To delay audio from the other outputs, use the delay settings (i.e., the speaker distance settings) on the connected AV receiver.

The AV Synchronization setting has no effect on SACD (multichannel area and 2-channel area) and 196 kHz/176.4 kHz DVD-Audio.

Dynamic Range Control (Dolby Digital only)

DVD-V DVD-A

With the Dynamic Range Control you can reduce the dynamic range of Dolby Digital material so that you can still hear quiet parts even when listening at low volume levels—ideal for watching movies late at night when you don’t want to disturb anyone.

Off (default)

The full dynamic range is preserved.

On

The dynamic range is reduced.

Notes:

The impact of the Dynamic Range Control depends on the Dolby Digital material that you are playing and with some material there will be little or no effect.

This setting automatically reverts to Off when the DV- SP1000/DV-SP1000E is turned on.

SACD Audio Setup

SACD

SACDs have two separate areas for storing audio tracks—one for multichannel audio, the other for 2- channel stereo audio. In addition, hybrid SACDs have an extra layer for playback in standard CD players.

With this setting you can determine how SACDs are played by the DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E.

2 ch Area

The 2-channel stereo audio tracks are played.

Multi ch Area (default)

The multichannel audio tracks are played.

CD Area

The CD layer of hybrid SACDs is played.

Notes:

If Multi ch Area is selected, and an SACD that con- tains no multichannel area is loaded, the 2-channel area will be played.

CD Audio Setup

CD

This setting configures the digital audio outputs for use with normal CDs or DTS CDs.

PCM (default)

Choose this option when playing normal audio CDs.

DTS

Choose this option when playing DTS CDs.

Notes:

This setting can be set only when the DTS Out setting for Digital Out/Digital 1 or 2 is set to “DTS->PCM.”
