Listening to the Radio

There are two ways to select radio stations: one is manual tuning and the other is presetting radio stations then selecting the preset channels.

Tuning Manually

You can tune manually only with the buttons on the DVD Receiver.

Press FM or AM to select the band.

Press TUNING / to change the

frequency.

TUNING

The frequency changes in 50 kHz steps in FM and 10 kHz in AM each time you press TUNING / .

In FM, if this button is held continuously for more than 0.5 seconds, the frequencies are scanned automatically–FM auto tuning mode. When a broadcast is received, scanning stops.

Tuning in a weak frequency (only for FM stations)

When you tune in a stereo FM station, the FM STEREO indicator lights up if the signal is sufficiently strong.

If the signal is weak, you may not be able to tune to the station. In this case, tune in as follows.

FM MUTE

Press FM MUTE.

 

 

The FM MUTE indicator turns off. At this

 

time, the station will be in mono and

 

interstation noise will be heard.

 

Select the station to which you want to listen.

Presetting Radio Stations

You can preset up to 30 stations.

You can preset radio stations only with the buttons on the DVD Receiver.

to preset (see steps on the left).

select the channel number to which

 

 

you wish to register the radio

 

station.

5 ENTER

Press ENTER.

The radio station is registered to the

preset channel.

To register another preset station, repeat steps 1 to 5.

Receiving RDS

When an RDS (Radio Data System) station broadcasting PS (Program Service Name) information is received, the RDS indicator lights up and the name of the station is displayed. (RDS reception is only available in areas where RDS broadcasts are available.)
