The output sound format can be changed according to your purpose and preference by changing the sound signal conversion method.

The sound signal conversion method is selected from among the three listed below. (Note that the three items are sound signal conversion methods, not the sound signal format the sound signals are converted into.)

When “Audio Out Select” is set to “Bitstream,” the sound is output in the most suitable format automatically through the speakers and output connector/ jacks. Therefore, although you can change the sound signal conversion method using the menu, leaving the “Audio Out Select” setting to “Bitstream” and changing the method according your purpose temporarily as described on page 40 is recommended.

For details (tips on using of this function, sampling frequency and quantization bit conversion table, etc.), see pages 40 and 41.
