AWARD BIOS setup

Award’s BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic system configuration. This type of information is stored in battery-backed CMOS RAM so that it retains the Setup information when the power is turned off.

Entering setup

Power on the computer and press <Del> immediately. The CMOS SETUP UTILITY main program screen will appear with the following options:

Load Defaults

The “ LOAD BIOS DEFAULTS” option loads the minimized settings for troubleshooting. “ LOAD SETUP DEFAULTS”, on the other hand, is for loading optimized defaults for regular use. Choosing defaults at this level, will modify all applicable settings.
