All procedures described in this guide apply to both models except where stated. Where a procedure or description applies to both the Switch 9 and the Switch 9 FX, the term Switch is used.

The guide is intended for use by network administrators who are responsible for installing and setting up network equipment; consequently, it assumes a basic working knowledge of LANs (Local Area Networks).
