3 Set-up and Connections

When arranging setup space for the PNC-5000, make sure you have a space that is at least 905 mm (35-11/16") wide, 500 mm (19-11/ 16") in depth, and 220 mm (8-11/16") in height. Since the material moves during printing and cutting, make sure the unit is placed on a stable, sturdy surface. Also make sure there is nothing that can block the material at both front and rear.

NOTICE

Avoid installing the PNC-5000 in the following conditions, as this may result in damage to the machine. Avoid places subject to strong electrical noise.

Avoid excessively dusty or damp places.

Never leave the unit in a place that is subject to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

Because it is normal for this device to emit heat when in operation, never place it in an area with poor ventilation.

Do not try to pick up or move the PNC-5000 by grasping the top area of the unit. Be sure to use both hands to grip the PNC-5000 securely on the left and right sides.

Always make sure that the power is off on both the computer and the PNC-5000 whenever any cables are connected or discon- nected.

Ensure that the power supply voltage in within ±10% of the machine's rated voltage.
