2.Configure termination.

ST150176LC drives are designed for installation in host sys- tems that have a backplane with single connector attach- ment (SCA) connections. Termination is normally provided on this backplane. Check your host system documentation for details.

• You can use this drive in host systems that do

not have a backplane with SCA connectors by using a SCA to wide SCSI-2 adapter. These adapters separate the interface lines from the power lines. If

you use such an adapter, proceed with step 2 of the installa- tion instructions provided for ST150176LW drives.

Note. Host systems designed to use ST150176LC drives nor- mally provide termination power from the host adapter or other source. ST150176LC drives cannot be configured to provide termination power to the bus.
