3.0Using the drive

This section contains handling precautions, dimensions, and instructions for using the drive.

3.1Handling precautions

Observe the following standard handling precautions:

Avoid unnecessary handling. When you do handle the drive, avoid bumps and vibration.

Do not bump, move, or drop the drive while in operation--doing so may damage the drive.

Do not open the drive enclosure--this will void the product warranty.

Do not remove the factory-installed labels from the drive or cover them with additional labels. Removal voids the warranty. Some factory-installed labels contain information needed to service the drive.
