desires to list the software version for all cards, he should type VERSION /ALL at the command prompt. This will list the versions of the boot and flash software for all cards, listed by card slot letter designation. Each network card will display two sets of software versions: one set for the network portion of the card and one for the user terminal portion, while all other cards will only return one set of version information.

The INFO command allows the sys admin to list the properties of a card. The switch cards are incapable of returning information, and any request to view information from the switch cards will be refused.

The INFO command is used in the form INFO <slot letter>, where <slot letter> is the letter designation of the card slot in the SCS3230 chassis. The modem card will always be in card slot A, while the network card may be in slots B, C, D, or E.

The modem card will return the following information:

The slot letter and processor number (which will always be "A1")

The connection status of the modem

The current modem session timeout limit (see Section 6.9,Breaking User Connections)

The current modem state, listed as either power-up mode or command mode

The modem initialization string sent at startup

Any miscellaneous modem error messages

The network card will return the following information:

The slot letter and processor number (the number will always be “2”)

The amount of active telnet sessions

The telnet session timeout limit
