2.2. Installing the Pre-loaded Software

Your LaCie hard drive comes pre-loaded with easy- to-use backup software ready for installation on your computer.

LaCie 1-Click Backup is a basic file backup pro- gram that allows you to backup files from different source locations to one destination.

SilverKeeper (Mac only) allows you to create and schedule more complex backups and allows the cre- ation of more than one backup destination.

LaCieSync (Windows only) allows you to easily and securely (using AES 128-bit encryption) synchro- nize your LaCie external mobile device and backup all of your personal files (productivity documents, photos, audio and video files, etc.), computer settings (Internet Explorer or Firefox favorites, wallpaper) and Outlook® data (emails, attachments, folders, cal- endar, contacts, tasks, notes) at any time, from any computer in the world. Please refer to the LaCieSync Getting Started Guide for installation details.
