Note: use pins 3 and 4 to power multi-dropped instruments with a single external 12 VDC power supply with adequate mA rating. Pin 4 and the 12VDC receptacle normally used for the AC adapter are not connected.

7.Operation with the HW4 software

7.1HW4 software requirements

Note: a full description of HW4 is available in a separate manual. This document can be downloaded from our web site.

The following are the minimum values required to install and run HW4 on a computer. It is highly recommended to exceed these values.

Processor: Pentium II, 450 MHz

RAM: 128 MB

Available hard disk space: 50 MB

Monitor: SVGA, 1024 x 768, 256 colors

Ports: one free serial (COM) port or one free USB port
