TROUBLESHOOTING

 

SYMPTOM

No power-up when power switch is pressed

CAUSE

Power cord incorrectly inserted

REMEDY

Check that cord is inserted both in the player and in the mains wall socket

CAUSE

Fuses burnt out

REMEDY

Check the fuses in the fuse holder (unplug cord from mains first!!) under the IEC socket

 

and if necessary replace with same type

SYMPTOM

No playback with disc in tray

CAUSE

Disc is dirty or scratched

REMEDY

Clean or change disc

CAUSE

Disc has been loaded upside down

REMEDY

Reload correctly (label side up)

SYMPTOM

No sound with disc spinning

CAUSE

Faulty or incorrect connections to amplifier

REMEDY

Check and connect cables properly

CAUSE

Player in pause mode

REMEDY

Press PAUSE button

CAUSE

External source selected or Loop Mode selected without any DSP connected to the Maestro

REMEDY

Select CD mode

SYMPTOM

No sound when external source is used

CAUSE

CD mode selected

REMEDY

Select External source mode or Loop mode

CAUSE

Digital format is not two-channel S/PDIF (e.g. it is compressed multichannel) or its

 

sampling frequency is more than 96kHz

REMEDY

Enable PCM mode on the digital output of the external source or select a 96kHz

 

operation mode if available

CAUSE

External source is off

REMEDY

Turn the external source on

CAUSE

Wrong connections between Maestro and external source

REMEDY

Connect units properly

SYMPTOM

No sound in Loop mode with disc spinning

CAUSE

External DSP is off

REMEDY

Turn DSP on

CAUSE

Input and output connections reversed on Maestro or DSP

REMEDY

Connect the two units properly

Sound jumping (mistracking)

Clean or change disc

Player is receiving vibrations or shocks
