Planning Modem Location
Factors to consider when planning for the location or placement of your iR1200 modem:
•Easily Accessible – You should allow easy access to the modem (for troubleshooting purposes).
•Easily Visible – You should allow a clear view of the modem’s LED indicators.
•Proximity of the Cables – The distance between connections affects performance, especially the distance between the modem and antenna. The shorter the distance between these components, the better the signal.

•Environment Considerations:
-Heat - Placing the modem, antenna or cables near
!a heat source can cause several problems, including radio interference. Select a location away from a source of heat and make sure the modem has at least a
-Wetness – The modem should not be mounted in an area where it would be directly exposed to water.
-Direct Sunlight – The modem should not be mounted in direct sunlight.
Modem Dimensions
Consider the size of the modem. Will the modem fit in the area where you want to perform the installation?
