Watcher window

The window has three areas that display messages and icons: the connection status area, call status area, and indicator area. These areas are shown in Figure 5‐1 that follows.

The Watcher window may display, depending on the coverage and connection state, some of the following icons and text:

number of bars.

 

 

 

You are outside the CDMA network coverage area.

 

 

 

You have 1X and 1xEV-DO Rev. 0 coverage.

 

 

 

You have 1X and 1xEV-DO Rev. A coverage.

 

 

 

You have 1X coverage.

 

 

 

You have 1xEV-DO Rev. 0 coverage.

 

 

 

You have 1xEV-DO Rev. A coverage.

 

 

 

You are roaming.

 

Your coverage area and account charges depend upon

 

your service provider and the type of account you

 

have.

 

There may be surcharges for roaming service.

 

If there is no roaming agreement between your service

 

provider and the local carrier, you may be unable to

 

establish data connections and use other features.

 

 

 

You are within the local coverage area of your service

 

provider (not roaming).

 

 

Rx

Amount of data received from the network.

 

 

Tx

Amount of data transmitted to the network.
