Configuring the Navisphere Server Utility

The Navisphere Server Utility registers the cluster node NICs with the storage systems, allowing the nodes to access the cluster storage data. The tool is also used for cluster node maintenance procedures, such as:

Updating the cluster node host name and/or IP address on the storage array

Updating the file system information

Adding, removing, or replacing a NIC

Starting and stopping a snapshot

To install Navisphere Server Utility:

1Log in to the Windows Server operating system as an administrator.

2Insert the system support media into the cluster node.

3If prompted, select the language.

4From the Main Menu, click Install Products on Server.

5From the Install Products menu, click Navisphere Server Utility.

6Follow the on-screen instructions retaining all the default values to complete the installation.
