3.2.2 Ports

The ports configuration page is used to display the current status of each port on the switch. In this section the user can also change the speed settings and flow control of each port and Jumbo Frame support can also be enabled from this location.

Enable Jumbo

Frames: Tick the check box to enable Jumbo Frame support on each port.

Port:Is the physical port number of the switch.

Link Status: Displays the current link status of each port. Table below displays the values shown depending on connecting device:

1000FDX

Port is running at 1000M/Full Duplex

 

 

100FDX

Port is running at 100M/Full Duplex

 

 

100HDX

Port is running at 100M/Half Duplex

 

 

10FDX

Port is running at 10M/Full Duplex

 

 

10HDX

Port is running at 10M/Half Duplex

Link Mode: Used to disable Auto-Negotiation and force the speed and duplex settings of the port. Values are Auto Speed, 10 Half, 10 Full, 100 Half, 100 Full, 1000 Full and Disable. If disable is selected the port will be fully disabled and will not function. Fibre ports only have three options Auto Speed, 1000 Full and Disabled.

Flow Control: Used to enable Flow Control on the port.

Status: Displays the current flow control status.
