Common Problems and Solutions

The following table lists some of the common problems that you may encounter using your COM-1460 module, and suggests possible solutions. If you have problems with your COM-1460 module, please review this table before contacting technical support.

COM-1460 Module doesn’t work

 

 

 

 

 

 

No power or wrong polarity

 

Check for correct power on PC/104 and PC/104-Plus bus connectors

 

 

 

Defective or mis-connected device

 

Check for misaligned bus connectors, remove other cards from stack

on bus

 

 

 

 

 

Cable connected backwards

 

Verify all cables are connected properly

Troubleshooting a PC/104-Plus System

If you have reviewed the preceding table and still cannot isolate the problem with your COM-1460 module, please try the following troubleshooting steps. Even if the resulting information does not help you find the problem, it will be very helpful when contacting technical support.

Simplify the system. Remove items one at a time and see if one particular item seems to cause the problem.

Swap components. Try replacing items in the system one-at-a-time with similar items.
