Note: Floppy 3 Mode support is a mode used to support a special 3.5” drive used in Japan. This is a 3.5” disk that stores only 1.2 MB, the default setting for this is disabled.

4-2 BIOS Features Setup

Selecting the “BIOS FEATURES SETUP” option in the CMOS SETUP UTIL- ITY menu allows users to change system related parameters in the displayed menu. This menu shows all of the manufacturer’s default values for the EP- 6VBA.

Pressing the [F1] key will display a help message for the selected item.

Virus Warning:

During and after the system boots up, any attempt to write to the boot sector or partition table of the hard disk drive will halt the system and an error message will appear.

You should then run an anti-virus program to locate the virus. Keep in mind that this feature protects only the boot sector, not the entire hard drive. The default value is Disabled.
