Removing the Display Bezel
Prerequisites
1Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 13.
2Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 15.
3Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 19.
4Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 2 in "Removing the Optical Drive" on page 27.
5Remove the palm rest. See "Removing the Palm Rest" on page 39.
6Remove the display assembly. See "Removing the Display Assembly" on page 61.
Procedure
CAUTION: The display bezel is extremely fragile. Be careful when removing it to prevent damaging the display bezel.
1Using your fingertips, carefully pry up the inside edge of the display bezel.
2Lift the display bezel off the display assembly.
