Removing the Palm Rest

Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover.

2Remove the battery.

3Remove the hard drive.

4Remove the fan.

5Remove the keyboard.

6Remove the base frame.

7Remove the speakers.

8Remove the I/O board.

9Remove the status light board.

10Remove the display assembly.

Procedure

1Remove the screws that secure the system board to the palm rest.

2Remove the power-adapter port from its slot on the palm rest.
