Overview

The Nuendo Mixer is divided into three main sections (press function key F3 to display the Mixer):

Input Channel Strip

Centre Section

Output Channel Strip

(with Four Audio Channel Strips)

Input channel strips (or ‘input busses’), to the left of the mixer

Output channel strips (or ‘output busses’), to the right of the mixer

Audio channel strips (in the centre section of the mixer)

Input and output channel strips are created automatically when an input or output bus is created in the VST Connections window. They are assigned automatically and incrementally to the MadiXtreme’s inputs and outputs, but can be reassigned manually if required.

Audio channel strips are created automatically in the centre section of the mixer when audio tracks are created in the current Nuendo Project. These audio channel strips can receive signal from any input bus channel strip or from the audio track they were created for, and transmit it to any output channel strip.
