3.Slide the SAM drawer from the terminal (Figure 10).

4.Remove any previously-installed merchant smart card by pulling the card from the SAM drawer.

To install or replace an MSAM card, go to Step 5. Otherwise, go to Step 11.

5.Turn the terminal over (Figure 11) on a soft, clean surface (to protect the lens from scratches). The four MSAM cardholders are now accessible. Each cardholder consists of a hinged tilt-up cover attached to a connector base.
