Modem ( “Modem”)

I/O Box Connector EXT.

For connecting printer, external mouse, keyboard, etc., through the I/O box (optional).

( “Port Replicator / I/O Box”)

Ventilation Hole

This hole allows heat to exit.

CAUTION

Do not block or place the computer in a location that may prevent proper venti- lation.

LAN ( “LAN”)

CAUTION

Do not connect the modem telephone cable into the LAN port.

Security Lock LOCK

A Kensington cable can be connected.

MP Release Button

( “Multimedia Pocket”)

Headphone Jack

Use this jack to connect head- phones or amplifier-equipped speakers. Audio output from the in- ternal speaker is disabled when headphones or external speakers are connected.

Microphone Jack

Use only a monaural condenser microphone (miniature jack). Us- ing an input source other than a monaural condenser microphone may not allow audio to be input or may damage the equipment.
