Connecting
1Turn the computer off.
Do not connect the Mini Port Replicator in sleep (Windows XP: standby) or hiber- nation mode.
2Connect the Mini Port Replicator to the connector of the computer with "This side up" facing upwards.

Disconnecting
1 Turn the computer off.
Do not disconnect the Mini Port Replicator in sleep (Windows XP: standby) or hibernation mode.
2 While pushing the Mini Port Replicator's lock button, pull the Mini Port Replicator out straight.
CAUTION
You cannot use the LAN port or the external display port on the computer when the Mini Port Replicator is connected to the computer. Connect the LAN cable or the external display cable to the ports on the Mini Port Replicator.

If devices connected to USB ports (2a, 2b, 2c) does not operate:
·In the case of devices with consumption voltage exceeding 100 mA, or devices for which the consumption voltage cannot be confirmed, connect via USB port 1 or
the computer’s USB port. <Only for Windows XP>
·Try disabling the power saving function on the USB 2.0 Root Hub. For informa- tion about enabling/disabling the power saving function, refer to the computer’s Reference Manual.
When you use the computer that [USB Port] is displayed in [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility, confirm that [USB Port] is set to [Enable].
