2.8 Primary / Secondary IDE Connectors (Two 40-pin IDE)

This motherboard supports two 40-pin IDE connectors marked as IDE1(primary channel) and IDE2 (secondary channel). Each channel supports two IDE devices that make total of four de- vices. In order to work together, two devices on each channel must be set differently to master and slave mode, either one can be hard disk or CDROM. The setting as master or slave mode depends on the jumper on your IDE devices. Please refer to their manual accordingly. Connect your first IDE hard disk to master mode of the primary channel.
