Appendix A: The parameter list

Factory Default Settings

If you should need to reset the NPS 530/532 to factory default conditions, the best way to do this is to use the TEST button. This procedure involves switching the NPS 530/532 off and on. If you use an external power supply, unplug the power cord to switch off the NPS 530/ 532, otherwise use the printer’s power switch.

1.Switch off the NPS 530/532.

2.Press and hold the TEST button while you switch on the NPS 530/ 532. Keep the TEST button pressed for at least 20 seconds until the PACKET flashes with one second intervals.

3.Release the TEST button and wait at least five seconds (five indica- tor flashes).

4.Press and hold the TEST button for at least five seconds until the PACKET indicator remains constantly lit.

5.Restart the NPS 530/532 (power-off/power-on).

The NPS 530/532 is now reset to factory default conditions.

Note: The Node and Internet Addresses (NODE_ADDR and INT_ADDR) remain unchanged, but all other parameters are reset to factory default values.
