Please note that the cover is hinged; do not at- tempt to remove the cover.
indicates that the batteries are charged.
indicates that the batteries need to be re- placed.
When the batteries are replaced, recorded mes- sages will be retained but the time may need to be reset.

Turning the Recorder On/Off
To turn the recorder on, press 
once. The recorder will enter Time mode.
To turn the recorder off, press and hold 
for 2 seconds to enter Time mode. The recorder will then automatically power off and enter Sleep mode after 60 seconds if no key is pressed.
Time/Standby/Sleep Mode
When the recorder is turned on, it will be in Time mode. The current date and time will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Press 
to place the recorder in Standby mode. The unit is now ready to make or review recordings. The cur- rent folder and number of recordings will be displayed on the LCD screen.
