9.0 Glossary
Listed below are definitions of words and terms used in the 90si User’s and Reference Guides.
Asynchronous
Async for short, Asynchronous refers to the way in which data is passed between the 90si and the attached Secure Phone. Specifically, no physical "clock" signal is generated by the Secure Phone. Instead, the timing data is em- bedded in the data and must be decoded by the 90si and the far end secure fax.

One-Line Dual-Mode Configuration
This configuration allows the attached fax to function as BOTH a secure fax AND a non- secure fax. An operator must be present to receive an unclassified fax.
One-Touch Key
A feature on a fax machine that allows desig- nated buttons to be programmed to go “Off- Hook” and automatically dial a telephone number. In the case of the 90si, we recommend that you program one of your fax’s
