Troubleshooting Guide

In this section we discuss the basic problems that can occur when using your modem. If you are having data communication difficulties such as periodic character loss, random errors, or constant format errors: use the loopback tests described in AccessBuilder 7000 AT Command Reference. With these tests you can usually isolate the fault in your system by using a process of elimination. If a problem continues to occur, contact your supplier for assistance.

Make sure that the front and rear cards are pushed fully home, and that the rack enclosure is powered ON.

Initiate a local analogue loopback with a pattern test. If the modem consistently registers errors, contact your modem supplier.

If the modem passes these tests and you still have a problem, it is probably not with your modem.
