To reach this daughtercard, take all reasonable precautions against static electricity, then unscrew the four screws that hold on the lid of the Remote Unit. Remove the lid. You’ll see the audio daughtercard above the main board, and the MIC posts near the center of the card with a jumper “hanging off” one post. Put this jumper over both posts to turn amplification on. Once you do this, the Extender will amplify the incoming microphone signal by +17 dB. When you’re finished, replace the lid and screw the screws back in.
