2-1. Time Setting

The date and time information is used to start timer recordings. Therefore, you need to configure the time and date information precisely. You can also select preferred date and time formats. The following picture illustrates the items which you configure to set the time and date.

Mode: Select how to obtain the date and time information. Choose either of the following options;

AUTO – the time and date information is received automatically from the digital broadcast signal when you turn on the FV-L1.

MANUAL – the time and date information is set by you, and maintained by the FV-L1’s internal clock.

NETWORK – the time and date information is received from the NTP(Network Time Protocol) server.

Please note if choosing AUTO mode that broadcasters can occasionally transmit the wrong time and date information, and this can cause problems with recording schedules.

Date Format: Select a display format for the date either “DD/MM/YYYY”, “MM/DD/YYYY” or “YYYY/MM/DD” from the pop-up menu. (DD-day, MM-month, YYYY-year)

Time Format: Select your preferred time format, either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Time Offset (for MANUAL mode only): Set the difference between GMT and your local time zone e.g. Sydney and Melbourne = +10:00.

Current Time (for MANUAL mode only): Set the current date and time.

Daylight Saving (for AUTO mode only): Enable or disable Daylight Saving time-offset.

Region: (for AUTO mode only): Select your region so that the correct GMT offset is showing in Time Offset.

NOTE

Your selected date and time format will be applied to all date and time displays in the graphical menus.
