Selecting an item from a menu

With some DVD and video CD discs, a menu may appear automatically after inserting a disc or manually during playback or stop.

7For DVD videodisc

To select an item in the menu:

1.Select a desired item using / / / , then press ENTER. The player starts playback of the selected item.

With some discs, you can select the item by entering the corresponding number using the numeric keys, causing the player to automatically start playback.

7For video CD

1.Press the numeric button corresponding to a desired item. The player automatically starts playback.

*If you can see “NEXT” or “PREVIOUS,” or equivalents in the menu, pressing 4/1 or ¢/Á usually turns the menu pages.

*Pressing “RETURN” returns to the previous menu.

The operation procedure may be different depending on discs. Read the manual for the discs and follow the procedure indicated in the menu.
