To change the Remote Control signals for operating a CATV converter or satellite tuner

1.Set the DVD/TV/CATV selector to the “CATV” position.

2.Press and hold POWER-CATV/SAT, then press SET.

Do not release POWER-CATV/SAT. Keep holding POWER-CATV/SAT until the next step is completed.

3.Holding POWER-CATV/SAT, enter the manufacturer’s code (two digits) using numeric buttons 1-9, and 0.

See the lists on page 61 to find the manufacturer’s code.

4.Release POWER-CATV/SAT.

The following buttons can be used for operating the CATV converter or satellite tuner (with DVD/TV/CATV selector set to “CATV” position):

POWER-CATV/SAT: Turns on and off the CATV converter or satellite tuner.

CH +/-:Changes the channels.

1-9, 0:Selects the TV channels. (See “How to use numeric keys” on page 17)

Note: Refer also to the manual supplied with your CATV converter or satellite tuner.

5.Try to operate your CATV converter or satellite tuner by pressing POWER- CATV/SAT.

If your CATV converter or satellite tuner turns on or off, you have entered the correct code.

Note: If there is more than one code listed for your brand of CATV converter or satellite tuner, try each one until the correct one is entered.

Controlling a JVC amplifier or receiver

AUDIO VOLUME controls the volume of a JVC amplifier or receiver.
