13.Unblock the timecode. Once the cinema processor automatically returns to a digital format, go into the theater and listen to the sound track. Verify good sound quality and lip sync. Also verify no extraneous noise during the quiet scenes.

14.DTS-6D Programmed Default. Use the SET-UPDS1 disc to test all the default functions on the player. Load the SET-UP DS1 disc in the DTS-6D and stand next to the unit when performing this test. To start, allow the right channel’s pink noise to play in the theater. Eject the disc by pushing the open/close button on the drive. The cinema processor should automatically pulse to the 04 (A-type) format. Repeat procedure for the remaining formats as listed:

DTS-6 Programmed Default. Use either the RevC or DS1 Setup disc to set levels. To check default, eject the disc and verify the cinema processor automatically pulses to an optical sound format. The DTS-6 system can default to either “A” type (04) or “SR” (05). This is determined by jumper settings on external DTS logic boards.
