Frame Advance

When you turn on JOG SHUTTLE during playback, you are in the STILL (pause) mode. From this mode, you can advance the tape frame by frame.

1.Press to advance or to reverse the picture one frame at a time.The display switches between STILL and SLO W- or

SLO W+. Press PLA Y or PAUSE to r eturn to normal playback and turn off jog shuttle.

SLOW MOTION

You can view a tape during play or play-pause using slow motion. Slow motion works best for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed.

1.During play or play-pause, press SLOW + or – on the remote to begin slow-motion playback. During play-pause, you can also press FWD or REV to begin slow-motion playback.

2.Press SLOW + or FWD to increase or SLOW – or REV to decrease the speed of the search.

3.Use TRACKING up or down to remove any streaks from the picture.

4.Pr ess PLA Y to return to normal playback.

The VCR switches automatically from slow-motion playback to stop after a few minutes.

COMMERCIAL SCAN (SEARCH BUTTON)

This is useful for skipping commercials or short program segments.

Press SEARCH once during playback to advance the tape approximately 60 seconds of recorded material.

Press SEARCH twice during playback to advance the tape approximately 120 seconds of recorded material.
