Note: You must hold the telephone’s earpiece over the speaker slots of your Phone Up 4 as shown on Page 34. If you do not, the Phone Up 4 might not properly receive the information coming over the telephone line.

While the Phone Up 4 receives information, the red light occasionally blinks to confirm the infor- mation transfer.

When the Phone Up 4 successfully receives the information for your infrared devices and loading is complete, the red light blinks twice and turns off.

FAST SEARCH

If you load more than one device code, the Phone Up 4 has a fast search feature which lets you quickly search the newly-loaded device codes, one at a time, until you find the right one.

As soon as the upgrade operation is successfully completed, the Phone Up 4 is ready for you to fast search the loaded codes.

For example, to search the codes loaded into the Phone Up 4’s TV memory:

1.Turn on your TV. Point the Phone Up 4 at your TV and press TV. The Phone Up 4 sends the power signal for the first TV code.

2.If your TV does not turn off, press 1. Your Phone Up 4 sends the power signal for the second loaded TV code.

3.Continue pressing the number keys (2, 3, 4, and so on) until your TV responds.

4.Once your TV responds, simply press another device key to lock in your code.
