Precautions

Power Sources - The unit should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the unit or as indicated in the Operation Manual. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your home, consult your sales person or your Iocal power company. For unit designed to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.

Grounding or PoIarization - Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding- type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding - type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

Alternate Warnings -This plug wiIl onIy fit into a grounding-type power outIet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to have a suitable outlet ins- talled. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the groun- ding plug.

Water and Moisture Warnings- Do not use the unit near water-for exampIe, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or Iaundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like. The unit shaII not be exposed to dripping or spIashing and no objects filIed with liquids, such as vases, shaIl be placed on the unit.

VentiIation-SIots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reIiabIe operation of the unit and to protect it from overheating, and these openings must not be bIocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by pIacing the unit on a bed, sofa, rug,or other similar surface. This unit should not be pIaced in a built-in instaIIation such as a bookcase or rack unIess proper ventilation is pro- vided or the manufacturer's instructions have been adhered to.
