Example 1.1 : Age Based setting

Clear V s (block) from each "AGE" box for all ratings. This will automatically unblock everything.

Example 1.2 : Age Based setting

For ÒTV-GÓ put a V in the "AGE" box. This will automatically block the higher age ratings ÒTV-PGÓ, ÒTV-14Ó and ÒTV-MAÓ as well as ÒTV-GÓ. Please note the content ratings ÒDÓ, ÒLÓ, ÒSÓ, ÒVÓ are automatically blocked as well.

Example 2.1 : Content Based setting

If you choose to unblock every content-based items (ÒDÓ, ÒLÓ, ÒSÓ, ÒVÓ), clear the V (block) from each ÒAGEÓ box of ÒTV-PGÓ, ÒTV-14Ó and ÒTV- MAÓ.

Example 2.2 : Content Based setting

Put a V in the box corresponding to ÒTV-PGÓ (row) and ÒV (Violence)Ó (column). This will automatically block the ÒVÓ boxes for ÒTV-14Ó and ÒTV-MAÓ. Setting only ÒTV-PG-VÓ, ÒTV-14-VÓ or ÒTV-MA-VÓ will not block all programs rated ÒTV-PGÓ, ÒTV-14Ó or ÒTV-MAÓ.

Example 3 : Resetting an Age Based setting

For ÒTV-14Ó, put a V (block) in the ÒAGEÓ box.

This will again automatically block the content ratings ÒDÓ, ÒLÓ, ÒSÓ, ÒVÓ for ÒTV-MAÓ as well as ÒTV-14Ó (ÒDÓ is not available for ÒTV-MAÓ). Please note that the lower age rating ÒTV-PGÓ does not change from its previous settings after this.

Note:

¥Content ratings can be modified but only in the combinations indicated by V in the table on page 15.

¥Changing a lower age ratingÕs content setting to ÒBLOCKÓ automatically changes the same higher age ratingÕs content setting to ÒBLOCKÓ regardless of their previous settings.

¥Changing a lower ratingÕs ÒAGEÓ setting to ÒBLOCKÓ automatically changes all higher ratings to ÒBLOCKÓ regardless of their previous settings.

¥For ÒTV-Y7Ó, ÒTV-PGÓ, ÒTV-14Ó and ÒTV-MAÓ, if you clear the V in the ÒAGEÓ box (unblock) you can still change settings based on content.

¥Clearing a higher ratingÕs age or content setting will not clear lower settings. Make sure that all undesired boxes are blocked.
