How to operate Time shift +

This function enables you to pause the digital TV or satellite programme you are watching and start watching it again from the paused scene.

CAUTION

Do not unplug the AC cord during time shift timer setting or time shift recording.

When the AC cord is unplugged and the TV is turned off:

The time shift timer setting is cancelled.

Recorded data is deleted.

Time shift recording may be automatically stopped when signal reception is poor.

Only this TV can playback the programme recorded on the USB storage device connected to this TV. The programmes cannot playback on other TV or PC.

NOTE

Refer to Regarding “Select recording device” (Page 27), when the buttons for time shift do not work.

Instead of pressing buttons on the remote control unit, most of the operations shown to the left are also available on the screen with the control panel. You can call up this control panel by pressing CONTROL on the remote control unit or select “Control (Time shift)” from “HOME” > “TV Menu” > “Setup” > “Option” > “Option for view”.

The “Audio description setting” menu does not work during time shift playback.

When the amount of memory used for time shift reaches “Full” and the blue point is around the left edge of the bar (see and in the Counter section on page 47), you cannot operate some functions (F (Pause), S (Reverse), K(Jumping backward to the previous chapter point) a(Jumping backward by the time interval you set in “Jump time setting”)).

Time shift recording stops if no operation detected for three hours.

When recording operations are not stopped manually, recording will automatically stop after six hours.

To release time shift, press REC STOP H, change the DTV/SAT channel or change “INPUT”.

Some functions do not work during time shift.

As time shift is not actually a recording function, recorded data will be reset when the TV is turned off by unplugging the AC cord.

Time shift does not start automatically, but starts only when REC E is pressed or when a time shift timer setting is started.

The PIN is required when you use the buttons such as S, J, K, L, a, bif you set the PIN and any options for “Parental rating” except “None” are selected.

Do not disconnect the USB storage device used for time shift during time shift operation.
