GRID

Summary Window

The summary window on the GUIDE Plus+ GOLD grid screen displays a brief description of programs you highlight from the programming Grid. In addition to a summary of the show, it displays information such as V-Chip rating, if Closed Captioning is available and if it is a stereo broadcast.

Icon appears if additional infor- mation is avail- able.

Watch

You can program the television to tune in to a certain program at a certain time with the Blue button. Select a program from the program listings grid, then press the Blue button.

BLUE

Your program is now scheduled to Watch one time. To change this so that this program is tuned in daily or weekly, press the Green button. This will move you to the Schedule screen (for more on the Schedule feature, see page 29). If the TV is turned off at the time of a programmed show, the power will come on automatically and the television will tune to the programmed channel. After the program ends, the television will shut off auto- matically if no other operations are performed.

To move the GUIDE Plus+ GOLD toolbar to select a different function, or

GUIDE/TV, to return to normal television viewing.

Record

Once you have highlighted a program from the TV listing grid, you can automatically program the television to record. With the program highlighted, press the Green button on the remote control.

GREEN

Your program is now scheduled to Record one time. To change this so that this program is recorded daily or weekly, press the Green button. This will move you to the Schedule screen (for more on the Schedule feature, see page 29).

To move the GUIDE Plus+ GOLD toolbar to select a different function, or

GUIDE/TV, to return to normal television viewing.

Notes:

The same programming method can also be accessed by pressing the VCR+ button.

Shows programmed to Watch will appear in orange on the programming grid. Shows programmed to Record will appear in red. If one channel is shared by two stations, programmed events for that channel may not change color on the programming grid.

A program will not register to Watch or Record if its time overlaps with an event already programmed.
