CONFIGURING STANDARD ALARM AND RELAY PROPERTIES

In the I/O Handler dialog box, you can define the correct driver to support the external devices. The recorder is already configured to support its built-in I/O ports. If you need to configure the recorder to support different settings or external devices, use the I/O Handler. The default driver for the I/O ports is the AvI1602.dll driver

1.Open the DX9000 Server Configuration Utility icon on the desktop and then click I/O Handler. The following dialog box appears.

2.The recorder has one built-in I/O port, which is mapped to Device 1. Click Test. You will get a confirmation message indicating that the configuration test of the driver is successful.

3.Click Configure to set the relay intervals and alarm modes. The following dialog box appears.

4.Set a value between 0 and 86,400 seconds for the relays. The default value is 5 seconds. You can set the alarm modes to Normally Open, Normally Closed, or Both. The default is Normally Open.

NOTE: In the Normally Open mode, alarms are triggered when the circuit is closed. In the Normally Closed mode, alarms are triggered when the circuit is opened. In the Both mode, an alarm is triggered when the circuit is open or closed.

5.Click OK.

6.Click Test.

7.Close the I/O Handler Configuration application.

NOTE: Refer to the I/O Manager for Relay Unit and the I/O Manager for Alarm Unit sections to complete configuration.
