Stereo And SAP (Second Audio Program)

Your VCR’s built-in MTS decoder enables reception of Multi- channel TV Sound broadcasts.

●The ST indicator on the front display panel lights during stereo broadcast reception, and SAP lights during SAP program reception.

●Both indicators light when a stereo program is accompanied by SAP audio.

To Record Stereo Programs . . .

. . . simply follow the basic recording procedure.

To Listen To Stereo Soundtrack During Recording . . .

. . . select "HI-FI" at the Audio Monitor screen (☞ pg. 29).

●If a SAP program is received, the SAP audio is recorded on both the Normal and Hi-Fi tracks. The main audio program is not recorded.

●If a non-SAP program is received, the main audio is recorded on both the Hi-Fi and Normal audio tracks.

To Record SAP Programs . . .

		ACCESS MAIN MENU

1		Press MENU as many times as necessary.
		ACCESS FUNCTION SET
2		SCREEN
		Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "FUNCTION SET" by
		pressing CH5° or TIME SCAN5°, then press OK.
		ACCESS AUDIO SELECT
3		SCREEN
		Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "AUDIO SELECT" by
		pressing CH5° or TIME SCAN5°, then press OK.
		ACCESS 2ND AUDIO
4		SCREEN
		Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "2ND AUDIO" by
		pressing CH5° or TIME SCAN5°, then press OK.
5		SELECT MODE
		Move the highlight bar		2ND AUDIO
		(arrow) to "ON" by		2ND AUDIO
		(arrow) to "ON" by
		pressing CH5° or TIME		=ON
		pressing CH5° or TIME		OFF
		SCAN5°.

			PRESS (5,°) TO SELECT
