Before Operation - VCR part

How to use the main menu

This VCR can easily be programmed by using the menus displayed on screen.

The menus are controlled from the Remote Control Handset.

Switch on your TV set

and video recorder by pressing

the POWER button.

 

2The main menu will appear on the TV screen.Press MENU button.

Tuning in TV Stations Automatically

If the TV broadcast signal is weak your VCR may not detect the necessary information and will be and to store them correctly. To overcome this problem please turn to the MANUAL TUNING section on page 16.

1Press POWER to turn on your VCR.

2The main menu will appear on the TV screen.

Press 1 or 2 to select the ACMS. Press OK.Press MENU button.

REC - Timer recording setting (see p. 25). PR SET - Manual tuning setting (see p. 16). ACMS - ACMS (Automatic Channel Memory

System) (see p. 15).

TIME DATE - Date & clock setting (see p. 14).

OSYSTEM - To set the Colour TV System (see p. 14).

OABC OSD - To change the language setting for OSD.

You can select the language among English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español, Dutch and Portuguese.

OF.OSD ON/OFF - To display the operational mode of your VCR (see p. 33). Various operational indicators will not appear on the TV screen when this function is set to “OFF”.

O16:9/4:3 - To select the aspect ratio of your TV (see p.34).

OSTB THROUGH - When Set Top Box is connected to AV2 socket you can watch the channel that you select with STB if you set STB THROUGH to “ON”. At this time, you have to set video output switch to “RGB”.

ODECODER - To use a pay-TV decoder (or Satellite) with your VCR (see p. 34).

OEPC - To improve the playback picture

(see p. 22).

ONIC - To activate or deactivate the NICAM digital sound (see p. 34).

3 Press 1 and 2 to select the desired menu. Press OK and press 3 or 4 to select.

4Press "MENU" to return to a TV picture.

Press OK again to start the automatic tuning process.

The VCR’s clock will be set automatically when

automatic tuning has finished. If the clock is wrong please see “Setting the clock manually” on page 14.Press 1 or 2 to select COUNTRY.
